Guardiola & Klopp top PL managers’ salary but still lesser than a European rival
Guardiola is unsurprisingly the Premier League’s highest earning manager amid Man City’s domination in recent seasons.

The Spanish coach has led Man City to five league titles, two FA Cups and four Carabao Cups in his time at the Etihad Stadium, as well as delivering the club’s first Champions League triumph last season.

Victory in Istanbul completed a famous Treble, with Guardiola’s side remaining on course for a repeat this campaign.

Guardiola, considered one of the best managers of all-time, is estimated in a new report by French newspaper L’Equipe to earn £1.6m per month.
His monthly salary is higher than his long-term rival Jurgen Klopp, with the outgoing Liverpool boss reportedly receiving £1.2m.

Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino is estimated to be the third highest earning coach in the Premier League, taking home £870,000 per month.

Their monthly earnings, however, fall well short of the salary reportedly earned by Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone.

Simeone is claimed to earn nearly doubled Guardiola’s monthly salary, with the Argentine paid £2.4m per month.

The figure makes the 53-year-old, who has been in charge of the LaLiga giants since 2011, Europe’s highest paid manager.

Simeone has led the Spanish giants to two league and Europa League wins, but has suffered defeats in two Champions League finals to arch-rivals Real Madrid.

Real boss Carlo Ancelotti is reportedly the second highest earning LaLiga boss on £780,000 a month, significantly higher than Barcelona counterpart Xavi on £274,000.

Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel leads managerial salaries in the Bundesliga, with the German coach estimated to receive £860,000 a month.
Tuchel will leave the Bundesliga giants at the end of the season, with the club looking set to relinquish their crown to Bayer Leverkusen.

Bayer’s in-demand coach Xabi Alonso, who is considered the leading candidate for both the Bayern and Liverpool jobs this summer, is reported to earn £425,000 monthly.

His salary is the second highest in the division with RB Leipzig’s Marco Rose third on £321,000.

Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri is the top earner in Serie A on £920,000, followed by Inter Milan boss Simone Inzaghi and AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli on £711,000 and £531,000 respectively.

Ligue 1’s top earning boss is reportedly Paris Saint-Germain’s Luis Enrique on £790,000 per month.

Monaco’s Adi Hutter and Strasbourg’s Patrick Vieira are claimed to be some way back on £214,00 and £188,000 respectively.
